Copthorne Resort Solway Park

Copthorne Resort Solway Park Masterton is set in 24 acres of landscaped grounds in the lush Wairarapa Valley framed by the towering Tararua Ranges on the outskirts of the town. Masterton is the largest centre in the lower North Island 100 kilometres from Wellington. The large low-rise complex has 42 standard rooms and it also has a huge range of conference rooms seating from 20 to 400. The resort is in a major wine growing area and one that offers many activities on land and water. Guests enjoy everything from a visit to glow worm caves and arts and crafts tours to parachuting and abseiling. There's trout and deep-sea fishing, canoeing, rafting, jet boat trips and shooting using laser guns.
The 4 star resort has very many on-site activities from billiards and pool to pitch'n'putt golf, a golf driving range, tennis and squash, and a jogging track. It has 2 swimming pools, 1 of which is indoor and heated, 2 spa pools, a solarium and well equipped gymnasium. As it specialises in conference, the resort offers extensive team-building programs including a high ropes course and a full-scale confidence course.
The Grill at Solway Park offers a la carte and set menus complemented by an excellent selection of Wairarapa wines, while the casual Cobb and Co is ideal for family dining. There is 24-hour room service and the town centre is only 3 kilometres away if you feel like a meal downtown.
The resort offers a local tour guide service, tour and excursion bookings, and babysitting.

Dining

The Grill at Solway Park: Copthorne's elegant new restaurant off the lobby and to the front of the resort complex is known simply as 'The Grill at Solway Park'. The under-stated chicness of this hot new dining space is achieved through a mix of dark wooden floors, floating timber ceiling, funky leather furniture, ambient lighting, and great indoor-outdoor movement onto an expansive deck. Open all day, every day, for breakfast, all-day dining, 'High Tea', after-work sharing platters, and dinner, our menus feature the absolute best the Wairarapa and surrounding regions have to offer in the freshest produce and finest wines.
Cafe Solway: Come along and enjoy our outdoor dining area facing out onto park-like grounds. Spend an afternoon on the driving range before relaxing in the Solway Cafe enjoying a leisurely wine or beer. With a wide range of light meals on our blackboard menu, enjoy your meal while the kids play on the outdoor play-area.
Cobb & Co: New Zealand's favourite family dining restaurant is located within the resort grounds, 100 metres from our front doors.
