Solitaire Lodge

Accommodation

Solitaire Lodge accommodation features ten elegant guest suites which are spacious, beautifully presented and superbly sited to take into the views through floor to ceiling windows.

Executive Suite: There are 6 executive suites in total and each has either Lagoon View or Lake View. Bedding is 1 Super-King bed OR 2 Single beds OR 2 Queen beds. Approximately 40 square metres in size. Maximum room capacity is 2 adults.

Solitaire Suite: Features separate large living room, double spa bath and separate shower. Views of the Lake. Bedding is 1 Super King bed. In addition, also features 2 x LCD flat screens and wireless internet access. Approximate size is 84 square metres. Maximum room capacity is 2 adults.

Tarrawera Suite: Features both Lake and Lagoon views, separate large living room, Double spa bath and separate shower. Bedding is 2 Queen size beds. Approximately 75 square metres. Maximum room capacity is 2 adults.

Villa Suite: Ideally suited to families or two couples travelling together. Lagoon views. Downstairs there is 1 Super King bed or 2 Single beds, separate large living entertaining room, glass enclosed shower. Upstairs is 1 Super King bed or 3 Single beds with spa bath and shower. Approximate size is 142 square metres. Maximum room capacity is 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.

Dining

Solitaire Lodge enjoys a reputation for exquisite and innovative fresh New Zealand cuisine, matched with New Zealand's finest wines. Guests are assured of a true dining experience in an unrivalled setting including the main dining room, guest suite or outdoors with the lake as your backdrop.

Food simply presented to enhance the natural flavours, and wine chosen from the best New Zealand vineyards will be prepared for your pleasure and requirements in the open kitchen. Guests at Solitaire Lodge share the dining table, which can accommodate up to 20 guests. Dress for dinner is smart casual. If guests prefer, dinner and/or breakfast can be served privately in your suite or if weather permits on the terrace.

The jetty provides an alternative dining area with hardwood furniture and sun lounges to soak up the afternoon sun. Order a cocktail from the jetty telephone, lie back and relax.

A 4-course gourmet dinner, full breakfast and evening cocktail hour are all included in the nightly rate.

Additional Information

Children: Children 5 years and under are complimentary in existing bedding. Children 6-15 years are at child rate (on application). Children 16 years and over are at the adult rate. * In consideration to other guests, Solitaire Lodge ask that children under 16 years dine in the Villa Suite, or weather permitting on the terrace.
